Her name is Kino Makoto (Lita in the North American version), meaning 'Sincerity of wood'.  Her mother star is Jupiter.

Her secret identity is Sailor Jupiter.  In her previous life she was a member of princess Serenity's court as well as princess of Jupiter, ruler of a castle named Io.

Her powers deal with Lightning and nature.

Her strengths are physical strength, martial arts, ice skating, and cooking.  Her role as a senshi is to make preemptive strikes.  You might call her a commanding officer of attacks.

Makoto has a little of an aggressive tendency, and has the physical strength to back up her whims.  She does not like to see helpless people get picked on or harassed, and will step in to defend them.  She is a very nice person if you look past the rumors about all the fights she gets into and get to know her.  She compensates for aggressive reputation by putting a lot of effort into being a good home maker.  She is an excellent cook and great at gardening and sewing as well.  She is very good with kids.  Her dream is to one day marry a nice man and make him happy.   She also wants to own a plant store.  Makoto is great at ice skating.  She and princess Serenity were the champions of ice skating back in the moon kingdom.  She is a little obsessed with men she sees looking like an old sempai of hers.  She just wants to be loved so much.  She is a little shy with people she doesn't know at first.  This, plus her height and strength scares a lot of men off.  She will give up a lot for a friend (for example when she gave blood to help a friend who was attacked survive).  As Jupiter, she is the strongest of the inner senshi and excels in hand to hand combat.  She is usually the first to attack.  In summary, Makoto is a very caring and emotionally solid girl.  A defender of the weak, she is dependable and strong.  In addition, she possesses a gift for home economics and horticulture and wants nothing more than the love of a good man.
